Welcome to the latest Let’s Talk Mental Health episode. Today I am joined by UK War Veteran Joe to talk about his experiences with mental health. Click show more to find out more.
Joe has been my best friend for nearly 28 years and whilst growing up together we have led very different lives.
Joe has been to two wars, worked private security off the coast of Somalia and generally led the lifetimes of 10 men in just over 30 years.
With this lifestyle has come numerous traumas over the years which manifested themselves in different ways regarding mental health.
Joe shares with us his approach to mental health and what he has learnt and how he copes with the challenges he faces. As well as sharing his thoughts on masculinity and feminism and wider topics too.

The concept for “Let’s Talk Mental Health” is quite straight forward. To chat with my guest in a neutral comfortable environment where we can be open and honest about mental health issues and talk about our own experiences.
Men need to talk more about Mental Health and this series is looking to address that by showcasing what others have been through and highlighting that vulnerability is a strength.
