Esellerpro Customer Conference 2012

So it is September again and time for the second eSellerPro customer conference, and this year looks like it is not to be missed if you are indeed a user of eSellerPro.  The conference this year is taking place on Thursday the 27th of September down in Oxford at the Williams F1 Conference Centre, check out the location here.  Being a big F1 fan this is a bit of a bonus for me 🙂

Conference Content

On to the conference itself, It is a full day event starting at 09:00 and going on til after 17:00, starting with some introductory speeches by Keith Bird and other senior members of the ESP team and then at 11:15 breaking off into 4 different tracks.  These 4 different tracks are focused on 4 key areas to help you get the most out of eSellerPro and to maximise your sales.

esellerpro logoThese tracks are split up into 4 areas.  These areas are:  #1 “Cross Border / International selling concentrating on VAT and tax issues, couriers and fulfilment.” #2 “Sessions from MSPs, Couriers, and Payment Gateways” #3 “How you can increase your sales by selling on different marketplaces, SEO, maximising search facilities, creatively improving your websites and utilising mobile and social sites” and #4 “How to sessions on Channel Profiler, eBay Item specifics and Best Match Amazon Re-pricer and eSP reports.”

There are some key guest speakers on at the event including eBay, Amazon, Paypal, Sagepay, Royal Mail and many others.  Obviously there is something for everyone at this conference and what are crucial ones for some businesses, are not a priority for others.  Some of the keyones that stand out to me are:

1. Cross Border / International Selling Overview With eBay:

With the coming updates to eBay International Selling, it will be interesting to see what eBay say about this and what changes will have to be made in the eSellerpro back end in order to make sure you are making the most of this.  I still think to get the key benefits of this though you are going to have to have an eBay Anchor Store which could be a bit of a gamble for some businesses.

2. Play.com

Although there are absolutely no clues as to what Play are going to talk about, I am going to guess that it will hopefully be an insight into the new PlayTrade marketplace launch where sellers will get there own customisable shopfront (Similar to eBay) as well as some other nifty features that they have planned for the re-launch after the takeover by Rakutan, due imminently

3. Channel Profiler with Chris Farrelly

Chris is a legend amongst eSellerPro circles and it will be interesting to hear what he has to say here, whether you know all about Channel Profiles or not.

4. Increasing conversions with search (Featuring Helium3 Technology) With Mark Withers

I know Mark to be at the forefront of whatever technology he is involved in, therefore this is one that I think will be very popular, with many eSeller customers, most of whom will have had Mark design something for them at some stage.

See you there

There are many other fantastic tracks on throughout the day and if you are new to eSellerPro then make the most of this event as not only are there some great tracks to go to, but it is also a perfect opportunity to not only network with the guys who make it all happen but also fellow eSellerPro customers.

On this note, I will be there on Thursday 27th September and it would be great to meet you.  Whether you have read some posts on my blog, we have spoke on Twitter or you have listened to me as part of the Ecommerce in Plain English Podcast, I would love to meet up for a chat.  I’m not a hard person to find so come and say hi. 🙂

I look forward to seeing you then

Dave
